Ministries of 1st Congregational United Church of Christ
Our church works with the idea of the “priesthood of all believers” and, therefore, involves members and friends in numerous ways of ministering to one another and to those in our community and the world.
Our areas of ministry and divided into committees: Spiritual & Pastoral Care, Christian Education, Mission for Peace & Justice, Music, Worship, Membership/Fellowship. While some ministry activities overlap between committees, for practical reasons ownership of a particular activity is housed in one of the committees. The exception is Thursday’s Table which operates independently under the guidance of the church council.
