Rev. Rene' Mehlberg!

The congregation elected our next Ordained Minister, Rev. Rene' Mehlberg, on January 5th, 2025. We look forward to welcoming Pastor Rene' to our community in March (details TBD).

Currently, a Badger girl pastoring in Gopher country, Rene' grew up on a NE Wisconsin dairy farm, taught high school English and theater, and was a county 4-H Youth Development Educator for about 15 years. Her UWEC campus pastor said, "You should go to seminary." It just took 18 years before she finally did. Rene' was ordained in 2018, served her first call at Trinity in Laporte, MN.
"God loves everybody!" is a core belief, and we are to do the same, says Rev. Rene'. Jesus was always including and never excluding. I enjoy being out among the people, as Jesus was, dreaming and experimenting with new ways (while honoring our traditions) to connect with God's beloved people sharing God's love and promises with all. As the majority of Jesus' ministry was out among the people, so am I as you can often find me in various school bleachers, local cafes, or where people gather for coffee.
